Jeff and Winn purchased their first bulldog in 1987 just after they were married. Jeff was often gone for 2–4 weeks on training missions. Winn gave the option of an alarm system or a dog. Thinking a dog would be cheaper, Jeff chose a dog.
As a Marine Corps pilot, stationed in Southern California Jeff and Winn initially got involved with AKC events, first by training and accomplishing an obedience "CD" title and then participating in conformation events. They joined PCBC and BCA in 1993. The whole family moved to Japan with the Military. Upon returning to the US in 1994, he left active military service and settled in the Seattle WA area where he has been active in The Bulldog Club of Greater Seattle, Oregon State Bulldog Club and The Bulldog Club of America.
Jeff & Winn have been fortunate to have bred, handled and owned, five generations of Champion Bulldogs, using "Flyboy's" as their kennel name. They have both been inducted into the BCA Breeders Hall of Fame and two of their bitches were inducted in the BCA Hall of Fame in 2012.
In 2016 we obtained our first French Bulldog and finished her Championship quickly. We are active members of the French Bulldog Club of Puget Sound and the French Bulldog Club of America.
Jeff and Winn have maintained dog showing as their hobby while raising three active children who are now young adults, out of college and on their own. As members of the Seattle Kennel Club we support AKC's endeavors in the Seattle Region.
Jeff currently is approved to judge the Non Sporting Group, the Herding Group and All Breed Juniors. Winn judges Bulldogs and French Bulldogs.
